Tempo Storm take down Cloud9 after a nail-biting series (2-1; Cobblestone 13-16, Inferno 19-16, Cache 16-11) and advance to the DreamHack Austin grand final, where they will meet the winner of Luminosity versus Liquid.

To start of the best-of-three semi-final between Cloud9 and Tempo Storm, Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham hit great form right from the start. His triple-kill in a 2v4 retake in the pistol round rocketed C9 to a 5-0 lead as CT before a team ace on the B bombsite gave the Brazilians their first round on the board.

Another unfavorable situation, this time 3v5 with the American sniper and Mike "shroud" Grzesiek starring, went Cloud9's way as they pushed the game to 7-1. However, costly rounds made them go on a save once TS picked up another round, setting them up for three in a row.

The showtime was over every time this man died on Cobble

Out of the remaining four rounds Tempo could string three together mostly thanks to the lurking Gustavo "SHOOWTiME" Gonçalves opening up rounds, giving them a 7-8 halftime score despite the poor start.

The American-Canadian squad were able to pick up a clean pistol round, but an MP9 raid-boss-type buy helped Tempo Storm win the forcebuy. After five rounds in a row going against them, Cloud9 started mounting somewhat of a comeback, as they went to take five themselves for 14-12.

SHOOWTiME showed up at the right moment with a crucial triple on A, but he nor his team were able to stop the two following attacks, as Cloud9 won their map pick at 16-13.

On map two, Inferno, not much was expected from Cloud9 who started as Terrorists and lost the anti-forcebuy after getting away with a comfortable pistol round.

The first gunround saw the Americans execute a successful fake on the A bombsite, but their economy got reset immediately afterwards. After multiple close rounds in a row Tempo had still only lost two rounds, as they won every single one of them and powered to 9-2.

However, Skadoodle came alive and gave Cloud9 a third round with three kills in a 2v3 and topped it off with an ace right afterwards, setting his team up for a solid six-round Terrorist side.

Great displays from Skadoodle gave Cloud9 a big chance on Inferno

As Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles and Ricardo "boltz" Prass combined for five kills in the second pistol round, they were looking to close out map one, sitting on a 13-7 lead after the first two gunrounds. However, a double AWP setup kept working out for their opposition, who put up strong defences and took it back to 13-11.

At that point Jake "Stewie2K" Yip also showed sparks of life alongside Alec "Slemmy" White and the duo was able to deflect multiple attacks on the B bombsite, taking it to match point at 15-14. However, Tempo Storm refused to budge, took the game into overtime and came out with a 19-16 victory after two massive clutches from Henrique "HEN1" Teles.

Tempo Storm found their second pistol round win in the series at the start of Cache as Terrorists, and this time they seemed unstoppable. The Brazilians kept hammering down on Cloud9's defences again and again, and even won unlikely situations sucha as 3v5 and a 2v4 throughout the first half.

Stewie2K found three kills in round 13, but it wasn't enough in the end, but five more kills across the next two rounds finally gave Cloud9 a tiny bit of breathing room. When they lost the pistol round it looked like it would be over soon, but they replied with a quick A bombsite push in the forcebuy.

Andrew "Irukandji" Timmerman's team pushed through the following two low buys, as well as the first gunround and two more afterwards, as they slowly grinded the rounds one after another, winning all the afterplant situations.

Not even a lucky push through a smoke and a double-kill from João "felps" Vasconcellos in an eco was enough to get Tempo Storm a round, but HEN1's two opening kills finally were, as they got to match point. That was soon turned into a victory at 16-11, denying a comeback from Cloud9.
